Question by Yinzii ?: Every time I enter self hypnosis i have tension in my hands and they begin to shake – how do I stop?
well i can do the relieving tension at first and becoming numb, and i can go to the state where my heart is racing and i’m in deepp hypnosis … but for some reason whenever that happens i get intense tension in my hands and they shake, bringing me out of hypnosis before I’ve finished.

It didn’t happen the first time I did it, but it did since then.

How do i stop this? Has anyone elsle had the same problem?

Here’s the thing..
Can you voluntarily make it happen exactly as it does when your going into self hypnosis?

I’ll answer as if you said no, which I think you did, right?

Well it’s a physical phenomenon linked with hypnosis, anything involuntary is a sign of trance, like a judder etc, dry mouth, leg jerk.. Just change it in your mind, by saying … and as that happens I can relax even more and sooner or later they will settle relaxed on my lap.. now.

It’s probably the kind of abreaction one sometimes sees in trance states. However, if you continue to practice you may well find you move past it.

If you are on Facebook try using the ‘My Hypnotist’ application. It takes you through a daily self hypnosis to relax you. It will probably help.

You are confusing different states. tension ,numb hands ,racing heart etc. are signs of conflicting states . not true hypnosis quit playing with CDs ,tapes etc and do a few hours with any good clinical ,not stage hypnotist. you will go farther , faster and be able to do what you wish to do
