I sweat like crazy and not just cuz i’m nervous- I have all my life. I was wondering if there are any cases actually documented about hypnosis working for this kind of stuff. I really wanna stop taking meds and worrying about this.

I’m not aware of any cases offhand. However hypnotherapy can be used to treat excessive blushing, which to my mind is a bit related as it is the skin doing more of something than it ought to.

Have your doctors found a cause for the sweating? If they aren’t able to, or feel it might have some psychological cause, then hypnotherapy may be able to help.

There are several types of hypnotherapy. The one I recommend in this case is known as hypnoanalysis or analytical hypnotherapy, so you would need to find a therapist who does this speciality. Such therapists probably also do regression therapy (in your life as opposed to past life regressions), if you are having problems finding one.

You have to be over 18 to undergo this therapy (ideally a bit older). As it is to treat a medical condition the therapist will probably need a note from your doctor, but they can discuss that with you when you see them.

I hope you are successful. As you are taking meds, it is essential you get your doctor’s permission before changing dosage or stopping them.
