Question by Komodo: Is hypnosis effective for relieving pain?
A side question as well, if you feel like answering it: do you feel medical hypnosis is legit? Just learning about this field, and would appreciate and insight you want to provide. Thank you!

Hi Komodo,

My name is Melanie, and I’m a clinical hypnotherapist. Hypnosis is very effective for relieving pain, and it can even be used instead of traditional anesthesia during surgery, dental procedures, childbirth, and other medical procedures. It is a great option for people who are suffering from chronic pain as well, especially if they don’t want to be taking pain killers for the rest of their lives or if the pain killers are no longer working for them.

Great question!
