Q&A: For self hypnosis, does one’s own voice work better than someone else’s?

Question by maroon maroon: For self hypnosis, does one’s own voice work better than someone else’s?
I’ve checked out these mp3 self-hypnosis tracks for different purposes like confidence, getting up, etc..But some people also read out these texts and record them in their own voices. Does that work better?

    As far as I remember, doing it in your own voice should yield a more powerful effect (self-recognition).
