Self hypnosis tips please?

Question by : Self hypnosis tips please?
I’ve had chronic neck and back pain for three years. I heard that self hypnosis can temporarily relieve the pain. Plus when I meditate I have a hard time breaking free from the thoughts about the pain.

I was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to self hypno the pain away? Any techniques? Thanks

You have to focus your mind on something else, such as breathing. What you can do (at least for meditation) is imagine breathing in good air that heals the pain, and then exhaling the pain away. Incorporate your thoughts about pain into what you are doing if they are that overwhelming.

Good luck. Perhaps get a self-hypnosis CD. You are forced to listen to someone else’s voice which will talk you through what you need to do. I like a self-hypnosis CD by Sylvia Browne, but it is more about connecting with past lives and the other side than it is to Directly heal pain (though people have said it has worked for that.)
